Emotions

All emotions emanate from 2 opposite or dualistic poles just as everything else in this existence. Everything is polar or dualistic in its truest nature. From the symmetry of our bodies to night and day as the most obvious examples. The 2 base emotions are fear and love. From these 2 base emotions spring forth all other emotions such as happiness, frustration, sadness, anger, etc.

Some emotions we enjoy and some we’d rather lessen or eliminate entirely, however all emotions play a role in our learning and growing process no matter how harmful or damaging they may appear. To learn what we value and cherish sometimes it must be taken away.

Emotions are a rudder to steer and balance logic and reason. When we lose control of emotions we can be run aground or be completely obliterated. Particularly powerful or strong emotions can totally short circuit logic and reason, and a lack of emotion can remove or lessen any feeling of empathy or true understanding of situations and experiences.
